  • Head to the Field Depot immediately to the south and interact with the computer inside to upload the data.

How to complete the Arc Raiders Untended Garden quest.

To complete the Arc Raiders Untended Garden quest, head to the marked garden zone in the wasteland outskirts. Search overgrown planters and ruined structures for the glowing data archive, which spawns randomly among debris piles-check high shelves and buried caches. Once collected, return to the upload terminal at the quest marker, interact to transfer the file, and defend against raider waves during the process. Quest finishes with a reward notification after the upload bar fills.

First off, load into the Dam Battlegrounds map. A Free Loadout is a good choice here as you won’t need to ferry back any loot or even extract successfully to wrap up the quest. Save your better gear for other raids.

Head over to the Hydroponic Dome Complex. It’s found in the northwest of the map, with the Power Generation Complex to the east and Water Treatment Control to the southwest. The spot is marked with a red high-value loot perimeter line, so it’s easy to spot on the map. With any luck, you’ll land a spawn near the Pale Apartments or Ruby Residence, for a quick run over to the domes.

Once there, head inside the northwesternmost dome with the umbrella satellite dish perched on top (the left of the two northernmost structures). Refer to the image further up for the exact location on the map. Interact with the computer terminal on a wheeled shelf inside the dome. You’ll see a prompt to ‘Retrieve Research Data.’

That’s the first objective done. Now, head south out of the dome. Straight ahead, you’ll see a Field Depot, recognizable by the antenna on the roof. It should be marked on your map with the Field Depot symbol, so use that if you’re having trouble finding the structure. Interact with the computer terminal inside to upload the data.

Arc Raiders Untended Garden guide data archive location

The data archive for Untended Garden is inside one of the Hydroponic Domes at the Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds, and you then upload it at the nearby Field Depot to progress the quest.

Data archive location

  • Go to the Hydroponic Dome Complex on the Dam Battlegrounds map; it’s in the northern/north-western part of the zone, marked by several large domes.

  • Most written guides point you either to the southernmost dome in the complex or to the north-western dome above the Nature icon; in all cases, the right dome will show a quest marker once you’re close.

  • Enter that dome and look for a computer terminal in the center of the interior – this is the data archive; interact with it once to download the research data and update the objective.

Where to upload after

  • After downloading, head to a Field Depot; you can use any active one, but there is a Field Depot just outside the target dome, a few steps to the south/south-west depending on the guide you follow.

  • Go inside the depot and use the computer terminal along the back wall/near the entrance to upload the data and complete that step.

  • The quest must be done in one raid, so make sure you survive through accessing the archive, uploading at the Field Depot, and then extracting via a nearby lift (often the Central Swamp Lift is recommended as the closest option).

How to reach Hydroponic Dome Complex safely in Dam Battlegrounds

To reach the Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds as safely as possible, treat it like a controlled sprint with planned cover and minimal detours.

Route and navigation

  • Before moving, open your map and place a marker on the Hydroponic Dome Complex in the north-west corner of Dam Battlegrounds so you can follow your compass instead of stopping to recheck the map.

  • From most spawns, a straight but cautious line toward the north-west works best; stay oriented on the compass marker and only make small course corrections when terrain or walls force you to.

Staying safe on the way

  • Avoid standing in open ground; if you must stop to reorient, duck into shrubs, rocks, or buildings so ARC patrols and other Raiders have a harder time spotting you.

  • Move from cover to cover in short bursts, scanning ahead for patrols and listening for mechs or gunfire before you cross big sightlines like roads, clearings, or the dam approaches.

Loadout and pacing tips

  • Bring one reliable mid-range gun and a close-range option, plus at least one healing item; the path around the dam facilities often has heavier ARC units, so you want to be able to either fight briefly or break contact.

  • If you’re only doing Untended Garden, consider going in with a lighter “free” or budget kit and ignore side loot until you reach the domes to reduce time spent exposed and in fights.

Approaching the domes

  • As you get close, hug the northern edge of the Hydroponic Dome Complex, using the outer walls and smaller buildings as cover rather than cutting through the open swamp.

  • From that cover, slip straight into your target dome’s doorway instead of circling; once inside, you’re much safer to regroup, heal, and then look for the data archive terminal.
