Arc Raiders Finding Rusted Gears Game Guide Locations Farming Tips

Guides

Dusty gears grind to life as you chase Arc Raiders’ hidden loot, where rust hides the richest rewards and every corridor could hum with an ancient mechanism waiting to be awakened.

Where to find Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders

Rusted Gears appear inside cars, generators, and machinery across Arc Raiders maps. Head to Warehouse, Marano Station, and Parking Garage in northwest Buried City for reliable spawns from breaching car hoods and generators. Check Power Generation Complex or Scrap Yard in Dam Battlegrounds, Vehicle Maintenance in Spaceport, and Checkpoint or Warehouse Complex in Blue Gate.

The two best spots to loot Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders are as follows:

  • The two buses just east of the North Complex Elevator in Dam Battlegrounds.
  • The generator inside the Warehouse in Buried City.

The buses are parked just east of the North Complex Elevator in the northeast of Dam Battlegrounds, between Generator Hall and the Power Generation Complex. Breach and search the containers on the back of each bus. Nine times out of 10, at least one of the two will contain one Rusted Gear.

You’ll find the generator in the Warehouse located in the northwest of Buried City, southwest of Marano Station, and west of Piazza Roma. You’ll find it in the westernmost portion of the Warehouse in a large room filled with sand and a low ceiling. Breach and search the side of the generator. The Rusted Gear spawn rate isn’t quite as reliable as the buses, dropping roughly three times for every five visits.

Naturally, these aren’t 100% guaranteed, but the spawn chance is incredibly high compared to simply searching through car hoods or scouring Industrial zones for the gears. North Complex Elevator is a little more dangerous, given the proximity of the extraction lift and the Hornet and Wasp that often patrol the area. For safety, opt for the Warehouse. Both are well placed for extractions, as you can leave quickly via the lift in Dam Battlegrounds or the Train Station Hatch/Western Station in Buried City.

Best quick route to farm Rusted Gears on Blue Gate map

Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders drop primarily from vehicle engines and hoods in industrial areas on the Blue Gate map, with the Warehouse Complex underground parking lot offering the highest concentration for quick farming.

Optimal Entry

Enter via the Gate Control Room route: head to the zipline for safe descent into the basement, avoiding heavy ARC patrols compared to the riskier Outer Gates path. This lands you directly amid 40+ vehicles primed for breaching.

Quick Looting Loop

Prioritize engines on every car, truck, and bus in clustered sections-methodically check 20-30 vehicles per run for 2-3 gears in under 10 minutes. Skip backseats and trunks, as gears never spawn there; watch for red-light alarm cars that summon enemies.

Extract and Repeat

Bank loot immediately, then extract via nearby metro or checkpoint-reset runs early (first 10 minutes of raids) to minimize player traffic and ensure full spawns.

Show a step-by-step looped route for Blue Gate warehouse complex

Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders’ Blue Gate Warehouse Complex are best farmed via a repeatable underground loop focusing on vehicle clusters. This zipline-accessed route prioritizes 20-40 cars and generators while minimizing enemy encounters.

Entry Path

Start at Gate Control Room zipline near the checkpoint-descend directly into the basement parking amid dense vehicles, bypassing main gates and patrols. Alternatively, enter via the southern valley hatch or hilltop zipline for quieter access.

Looping Steps

  1. Land and breach car hoods/engines clockwise from zipline drop-hit 10-15 vehicles in the central lot (90% gear chance per cluster).

  2. Move north to generator row and bus depot-loot 5-10 more, avoiding red-alarm cars that spawn ARC.

  3. Circle south through truck bays back to zipline base, checking overlooked vans (total 2-4 gears in 7 minutes).

  4. Bank at nearby stash, then zipline out or metro extract-repeat immediately for respawns.

Exit Options

Use internal stairs to surface steps or western circular vent for fast loops; early-run resets (under 10 minutes) keep spawns full.
