ZZZ Yidhari Guide Summer Builds Engines Discs Weapons Teams Synergies Advice

Guides

Yidhari isn’t just another spectral broker at the Spook Shack – she’s the key to mastering HP-drain tactics and turning every contract into a high-stakes gamble of life force and wit. This guide breaks down her quirks, strengths, and timing tricks so you can keep your opponents drained, desperate, and entirely in her thrall.

Yidhari’s only downside is that her kit relies heavily on an HP-drain mechanic, so you need to manage healing to keep her alive. She is also a DPS unit, so she will spend a lot of time on the field. This means that it’s especially important to build her with proper stats while also learning to optimally use her kit.

Yidhari materials guide

Yidhari’s materials are the backbone of her upgrades and skill enhancements, so knowing where to collect them saves plenty of time. Focus on Phantom Residue and Wraith Cores from Spook Shack missions, since they fuel her HP-drain mechanic and let her maintain longer uptime in combat. Haunted Fabric and Ghostly Fragments drop more often during night cycles, making them perfect for faster farming runs. Keep an eye on limited-event materials too-they often grant unique boosts that strengthen her healing and energy return skills.

With Yidhari being a Rupture Agent, you’ll need Rupture-specific materials to ascend the character. Additionally, she also has the Ice Element, which means you will need Freeze materials to level up her skills.

You’ll also need to defeat the boss, Wandering Hunter, to receive level-up materials for her Core Skill. Finally, you’ll have to complete the Expert Challenge Miasmic Kamano Manato to receive the final set of materials for Yidhari.

The required Yidhari materials can be divided into three categories: Ascension materials, Skill level-up materials, and Core Skill materials. Everything you need for all three of these is listed in the following sections.

Ascension Materials

The Ascension materials you need to promote Yidhari to the maximum level are as follows:

  • Basic Rupture Certification Seal x4
  • Advanced Rupture Certification Seal x32
  • Arbiter Certification Seal x30
  • Denny x800,000

You can farm all of these from the Combat Simulation Agent Promotion section. Make sure you farm for the Rupture materials, as that is what you need for Yidhari.

Skill level-up materials

The Skill level-up materials you need to promote Yidhari to the maximum level are as follows:

  • Basic Freeze Chip x15
  • Advanced Freeze Chip x75
  • Specialized Freeze Chip x250
  • Hamster Cage Pass x5

The numbers listed are what you’ll need to level up all of Yidhari’s skills to maximum. You can farm the Basic Freeze Chip and its upgraded versions from the Combat Simulation Agent Skill section. The five Hamster Cage Passes can primarily be obtained from Events, so keep an eye out.

Core Skill Upgrade Materials

The materials you need to upgrade Yidhari’s Core Skill are as follows:

  • Crimson Miasma Spike x9
  • Higher Dimensional Data Corrupted Dreamsteel x60

Crimson Miasma Spike can be farmed from the Notorious Hunt Wandering Hunter. Higher Dimensional Data Corrupted Dreamsteel can be farmed from the Miasmic Kamano Manato Expert Challenge.

Yidhari Kit Guide

Yidhari’s Kit revolves around sustained HP-drain mechanics that reward constant aggression. Her primary tool steals health with each strike, letting her remain in combat far longer than most agents. The kit builds around timing-balancing offense with just enough self-preservation to keep the pressure on. Mastery lies in chaining abilities for steady damage output while maintaining lifesteal flow through every encounter.

Yidhari functions a bit like Hu Tao from Genshin Impact, where HP is her most valuable resource. Her damage increases depending on how low her HP is at any given instance. Yidhari essentially converts her HP into Sheer Force, which in turn increases the damage dealt to enemies.

Another important part of Yidhari’s kit is her Charged Basic Attack, which deals Ice damage to enemies. Whenever she uses the Charged Basic Attack, she loses HP, but the damage keeps increasing the more she uses it. Additionally, while she is charging her attacks, she will use her tentacles to deflect incoming damage.

While her damage increases when her HP gets lower, it incurs a serious risk. Play too boldly, and an endgame boss can flat-out one-shot you. As such, you’ll need to be mindful of the parts of her kit that restore HP. Yidhari restores HP wherever she hits an enemy with the third attack from her Basic Attack, as well as her EX Special Attack.

Yidhari can also parry attacks from enemies through her EX Special Attack. While her Charged Basic Attack is in motion, if you use the EX Special Attack at the right moment, you will parry an enemy’s attack. However, when you do this, you’ll activate Charging Pursuit. This will make her rush at the enemy and deal massive damage with her hammer.

Finally, when she hits 3,000 Decibels, she will activate an ability called Ether Veil Wellspring. You will need to complete your Basic Attack string to activate this. When it activates, the entire party’s HP is increased. Additionally, she will also consume the 3,000 Deceible points to activate the Wellspring.

Once you have activated Ether Veil Wellspring, you will have a 30-second window to take advantage of the buff. During this window, you will be able to activate Yidhari’s Ultimate ability, dealing high Ice damage to enemies.

Yidhari Drive Disc guide

Yidhari’s Drive Discs focus on amplifying her HP-drain potential and boosting her burst consistency. Prioritize discs that strengthen her abnormal damage, Crit Rate, and penetration to maximize the value of her draining attacks. Sets that increase basic attack output or enhance ultimate uptime also pair well with her self-sustain playstyle. Balance offensive stats with survivability to keep her active in extended encounters without losing momentum.

When building a character in Zenless Zone Zero, you need six Drive Discs to complete the build. This includes a mix of a four-piece set and a two-piece set. The four-piece set you need to optimize Yidhari is Yunkui Tales.

The two-piece bonus for Yunkui tales gives a 10% HP buff, which is invaluable for Yidhari, since she is an HP scaling character. As part of the four-piece bonus for Yunkui tales, Yidhari’s Crit Rate will increase by 4% upon using an EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate.

This ability can stack up to three times, which gives a maximum of 12% Crit Rate. Additionally, when you reach three stacks, Sheet damage will increase by 10%, which is also a powerful stat for Yidhari.

The final two slots can be filled by the Woodpecker Electro Drive Disc. The 2-piece set bonus for Woodpecker Electro gives Yidhari an 8% Crit Rate boost, which adds a welcome DPS boost across the board.

Yidhari W-Engine guide

Yidhari’s W-Engine plays a major part in how she sustains her HP-drain mechanic during fights. Prioritize options that boost ATK, Energy Regen, or Crit Rate to maintain pressure while compensating for her self-inflicted damage. The “Hellfire Gears” line pairs well with her aggressive playstyle, while alternatives like “Fusion Compiler” trade some survivability for stronger burst output. Balance offensive mods with HP recovery traits to keep Yidhari on the field longer without relying too much on support characters.

The best W-Engine for Yidhari is Kraken’s Cradle. However, that is not the only choice you have. You can also go for something like Puzzle Sphere or Radiowave Journey.

However, Yidhari is a very distinctive kind of agent due to the fact that she requires a steady source of HP regeneration and also boasts the Rupture Speciality. As such, you don’t have many weapons that synergize with her kit, which makes her signature Kraken’s Cradle quite valuable.

Kraken’s Cradle

This is an S-Rank W-Engine, which is also the best one for Yidhari in Zenless Zone Zero. When equipped, Yidhari’s Ice Sheer damage increases whenever her HP decreases.

This effect can stack up three times. Additionally, whenever Yidhari’s HP falls below 50%, her Crit Rate increases. This means you have to keep your HP below 50% in battle. However, if you like to play dangerously, this could very much be the W-Engine for you.

Puzzle Sphere

This is an A-Rank Rupture W-Engine and makes a solid lower-budget choice for Yidhari. Upon equipping, the Crit DMG of the wearer increases by 16% for 12 seconds whenever an EX Special Attack is used.

This is especially useful since, if the HP of the enemy is below 50% of their maximum health, Yidhari will deal 20% more damage to them. This W-Engine doesn’t provide any buffs whenever Yidhari drains her HP, but the Crit DMG boost helps increase her damage.

Radiowave Journey

It is another A-Rank Rupture W-Engine that also works well with Yidhari. Whenever you trigger a Chain Attack or Ultimate, you will gain a buff. This buff will increase the Sheer Force of Yidhari by 80.

This serves as another solid choice of W-Engine since the Sheer Force boost increases Yidhari’s damage. However, the lack of any HP buffs means you may have trouble when it comes to keeping Yidhari alive if you play too recklessly. As such, this should be your last option among all the possible choices.

Yidhari team comps guide

Yidhari shines in Spook Shack with team comps that counter her HP-drain mechanic through targeted support. Pair her with buffers who restore health on attacks or skills, like those generating shields or lifesteal bursts. Add a sub-DPS for sustained damage during her drain windows, and a flexible healer to maintain squad uptime. Experiment with these setups to maximize her output against tough foes.

Yidhari is quite limited when it comes to her team composition. This is because she is a Rupture unit, and she needs other Rupture units to cover for her on the battlefield.

There is a shortage of Rupture units in the game, with Lucia being the only one who can assist Yidhari. As such, there is only one team in Zenless Zone Zero, where Yidhari can perform optimally.

Yidhari Lucia Ju Fufu Team

This is the best team for Yidhari and the only one where she performs well. This team consists of Yidhari, Lucia, and Ju Fufu. Here, you will need Lucia, who is a Rupture support, as she can increase the Sheer Force buff and heal Yidhari.

Both of these are essential since the Sheer Force buff increases the damage dealt by Yidhari, and the healing ensures that the HP drain mechanic never causes any serious difficulty in endgame content.

Ju Fufu is a strong addition here. Since she’s a Stun unit, she will round out your team composition and allow you to stun bosses. Additionally, she can buff Crit DMG and boost Decibel levels. The latter is especially vital given Yidhari’s reliance on Ether Veil Wellspring.

Yidhari Lucia Lycaon Team

This team functions pretty similarly, where you use Yidhari and Lucia as a combined unit. You need both of them to be placed together so that Yidhari can function optimally.

Lycaon is a strong Ice Stun unit who can also stun bosses and, more importantly, reduce the Ice RES of enemies. Since Yidhari is an Ice unit, her damage is increased due to the reduced Ice RES on enemies, which gives her impressive synergy with Lycaon.

Is Yidhari worth pulling?

Yidhari stands out in Spook Shack teams thanks to her HP-drain mechanic that amps up damage output during sustained fights. She pairs well with agents who mitigate self-damage or boost survivability, making her a strong pick for content demanding high-pressure plays. Pull if you lack a dedicated HP-drainer or run Spook Shack comps often; skip otherwise unless her kit fits your roster gaps.

Yes, Yidhari is worth pulling in Zenless Zone Zero as she boasts a very impressive damage output. Her kit functions in a high-risk and high-reward fashion where the more HP she loses, the stronger she gets. The spicier gameplay experience can be great fun for more skilled players.

However, she is also restrictive when it comes to team compositions. She needs Lucia, who is a powerful Rupture support. This means if you don’t have Lucia, you will struggle to keep her alive. Her damage will still be fine, but the extra buffs you receive from Lucia are necessary.

Yidhari’s risk-reward playstyle can pose a steep learning curve for less experienced players, meaning that newer ZZZ enjoyers may need to invest more time when it comes to mastering Yidhari’s kit.

Best Drive Discs for Yidhari late game

For late-game Yidhari in Zenless Zone Zero, prioritize Drive Disc sets that maximize her HP-scaling Sheer Force damage, CRIT stats, and Ice synergy while supporting her HP-drain playstyle. The consensus across guides favors 4-piece Yunkui Tales as the core for Rupture/Sheer DMG and HP boosts with high uptime on her charged attacks.

Main Stats Priority

  • Disc 4: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG (flex based on substats and W-Engine CRIT needs).

  • Disc 5: Ice DMG Bonus or HP% (Ice DMG edges out for multipliers if HP is solid elsewhere).

  • Disc 6: HP% (essential for scaling her slams and thresholds).

Substats Order

Focus farming for these in descending priority to hit 50-60%+ CRIT Rate and amplify low-HP bursts:

  • CRIT Rate

  • CRIT DMG

  • HP%

  • ATK% (filler).

Top Set Combinations

Set Combo Why It Excels Alternatives
4pc Yunkui Tales + 2pc Woodpecker Electro Best overall: Sheer/Rupture/HP buffs + CRIT Rate for charged hits. Near-perfect uptime. 2pc Branch & Blade Song (CRIT DMG if Rate is capped).
4pc Yunkui Tales + 2pc Dawn’s Bloom Viable Basic Attack focus, but suboptimal vs. CRIT sets. Polar Metal (early-game Ice bridge).

Refine for 22k+ HP without overcapping (diminishing returns past that); pair with Kraken’s Cradle for ideal late-game output.

Optimal substats to prioritize on Yidhari Drive Discs late game

Yidhari’s late-game Drive Disc substats in Zenless Zone Zero prioritize CRIT consistency and HP scaling to fuel her Sheer Force slams while hitting 50-60%+ CRIT Rate overall. Guides universally rank CRIT Rate first for reliable procs on charged attacks, followed closely by CRIT DMG to amplify low-HP bursts.

Priority Ranking

Substats should target these in order, swapping pieces for optimal rolls:

  • CRIT Rate (top priority to cap without W-Engine crutches).

  • CRIT DMG (scales multipliers massively post-cap).

  • HP% (boosts thresholds and damage floor).

  • ATK% (filler only; low value due to HP scaling).

Target Benchmarks

Aim for 22k+ HP, 55%+ CRIT Rate, and 180%+ CRIT DMG via substats alone, as Yunkui Tales provides Sheer buffs. Avoid overstacking HP past 25k (diminishing returns); balance via Disc 4 flex.

Optimization Tips

Use substat swapping tools or Yuan sharing for CRIT-heavy pieces-favor CD% over excess HP% on strong rolls. Test in Shiyu Defense for clears above 60k scores.
