The new Minecraft update will remove references to its creator


Markus “Notch” Persson, creator of the popular Minecraft, will stop having references during game loading screens. This change comes through its most recent update.

Messages like “Made by Notch” will no longer appear on these screens, although Persson will continue to appear in the credits as a creator.

While Microsoft neither Mojang have not given the reasons for this change, it is most likely due to the controversial statements from its creator on Twitter. Example of this are his sayings about heterosexual pride or about his condition White man, receiving strong criticism in both cases.

For now, Persson briefly referred to the issue, without giving a major announcement.

Behind the acquisition of Mojang by Microsoft in 2014, Persson moved away from its creation, ceasing to work on it.
