Rebecca Breeds will be a new Clarice Starling for TV

The actress Rebecca Breeds, who previously participated in the series Originals, the sequel to The silence of the inocents which prepares the CBS chain in the United States.

This will install her as the third woman who plays Clarice Starling, the FBI agent who in the past was in charge of Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore.

Located in 1993, his actions will take place a year after his encounter with Hannibal Lecter and explore elements unknown to the character, while tracking down serial killers and sexual predators. All this while navigating the problems generated by Washington's policy.

This version of the character is described as “bright and vulnerable,” whose bravery gives “an inner light that attracts monsters and crazy people to her. Its complex psychological composition comes from a challenging childhood, and its impulse comes from its need to escape the burden of family secrets that have persecuted it throughout its life. ”

Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek) and Jenny Lumet were in charge of the script and will be executive producers of a series that will have no connection to the previous series based on the characters of Thomas Harris.
