Padilha detonates Sergio Moro and says he is sorry to support him: 'I admit that I made a mistake'

The director of the film 'Tropa de Elite', José Padilha, wrote on Tuesday, April 16, an article in the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, in which he says he regrets his support for Sérgio Moro. Considered to the right, José Padilha criticizes in particular the anti-crime package of the Minister of Justice of the Federal Government.

According to Padilha, the measures proposed by Sérgio Moro, if approved, would favor the militias, very common today in communities throughout Brazil. In another moment of the article published in Folha de São Paulo, the filmmaker accuses Moro of losing independence for Bolsonaro.

Former federal judge, Sérgio Moro was once compared to a 'samurai' against corrupt by Padilha. To corroborate his opinion, the filmmaker quotes data from Rio de Janeiro's criminality and ensures that most of the polling stations did not vote for Flávio Bolsonaro as Senator for fear of what he would represent in case of victory.

He also points out that in Rio de Janeiro alone, every six hours, police officers in service kill someone and that only 2% of the cases are reported to the courts, and few arrive at the jury court.

The main fear of the filmmaker, according to his article, is that innocents are killed and there is no punishment for the police in cases of errors in operations.

“Approved the package anticrime of Sergio Moro, that number will tend to zero. This is because the package predicts that, to justify legitimate defense, it will suffice that the policeman says that he was under 'fear, surprise or violent emotion', he says. Padilha's name was at the top of Twitter due to the publication.
