HBO opened the door for “possible future deliveries” of Watchmen

Although Damon Lindelof has made it clear that does not want make a new season of WatchmenFor some reason the doubt is still present as to what will happen in the future with the series.

And although those questions had dissipated a little during the last months, a new HBO movement will surely turn on the speculation again.

According to Variety, this Friday the channel announced that will change the Watchmen classification from “series” to “limited series”. Although many already referred to this production in that last category, the decision of the channel points to the awards.

In that sense, this change not only opened the door for Watchmen may receive more awards, but also gave rise to an interesting clarification from the channel: Watchmen It is a limited series does not mean that it is finished and eventually “future deliveries” could be specified that will also be crossed out as well.

“We discussed with the producers and felt that the limited series were the most accurate representation of the program and cany possible future delivery ”, HBO said in a statement.

Obviously this does not mean that the channel is working on new installments of the series or anything like that and rather points out that, as Lindelof slipped that someone else could take the reins of the project, the channel does not want to put a definitive closure to this acclaimed proposal.
