A photo presents the next Captain America of Marvel Studios

Through a series of images captured from the set of the series of The Falcon and the Winter SoldierFinally, there have been signs about what will happen to the legacy of Captain America. Or at least what will initially occur after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Although at the end of that movie an old Steve Rogers gave up his shield to Sam Wilson, officially handing him over to continue the legacy of Captain America, things would not be so easy. Not if “Uncle Sam” can say something about it.

Possible spoilers below.

The new images, revealed by Page Six, show us the first look at Wyatt Russell, the actor who will have the task of playing John Walker, who in the comics is known as the U.S. Agent.

A photo presents him with a military suit and a sling in his hand, but another photo – which takes place in a different scene – is presented with a new version of Captain America's suit.

All this would indicate that, although Sam Wilson obtains the shield from Steve Rogers, the United States Government would intervene to raise his own elected. And that would be John Walker's first role in the MCU, being a Captain America with all his letters (and an A on his forehead).

In the comics, Walker first takes the mantle of the Super Patriot, before replacing Steve Rogers as Captain America when he leaves the shield. Then he takes a variant of the Captain's suit and in his role as U.S. Agent is part of teams like the West Coast Avengers.
